Unique in design and alive in wild spirit, these copper dangle earrings fuse a handmade copper shield with a bronze feather. The 1.125 inch shield was pressed from 17 gauge copper, stamped with arrows and setting suns to signify the start of the hunt, and then domed on a steel dapping block to create the curved shape that transforms direct light into highlights, while also representing the dome of the night sky energize with flying arrows and the spirit of the hunters. Hanging gracefully below the shield are 2 inch hand sawed 20 gauge bronze feathers decorated with a grooved patina enhanced patterns for added realism to capture the flight of the prey. Melding the bimetallic earrings together in radiant harmony is a hand brushed finish with strong brush strokes to reveal the natural glows of the bronze and copper.
