Kazakhstan is a Central Asian country, on the border of Russia and China. This rare turquoise is exceptionally hard and is also known as Golden Hills turquoise showing a very pure pale blue color with unusual matrix patterning. The Altyn-Tyube mine where much of this prized turquoise comes from is flooded much of the year and therefore the turquoise is only mined in the dead of winter contributing to it's scarcity.
Measurements: Turquoise stone stone is about 3/4” tall by about 3/8” wide, with an overall drop of about 1 1/2" long.
